Interim Finance Transformation Manager
The Company
An established, multi-entity Private Equity-backed group within the professional services sector. The business operates a project-based model, selling time on a fixed-fee basis, and is undergoing a period of significant transformation and growth.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, an experienced Finance Transformation Manager or Head of Financial Reporting is required to deliver a step change in the financial reporting and management information capability of the business during a period of integration and change. The focus will be on delivering finance transformation initiatives and embedding robust processes, controls and management information in a complex, multi-entity, international environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building a fit-for-purpose financial reporting function, delivering quick wins (there are many low hanging fruit) and long-term improvements
- Streamlining month-end close (targeting 6 working days) and delivering a step change in the quality of management information – specifically contract profitability reporting
- Integration of recent acquisitions onto Sage 200
- Overseeing process automation, efficiency improvements and cleansing of finance systems
- Partnering with support functions to improve reporting and enable tighter cost control
- Managing consolidation across c.20 entities with multiple currencies – possible implementation of a consolidation tool
- Delivering budgets, forecasts (3-statement model), and rolling 13-week cashflows
The Candidate
- You will be a qualified accountant (minimum 8-10 years PQE), with a track record in Private Equity-backed businesses (must have)
- Experience within people-based businesses that operate project time reporting systems and sell time on a fixed-fee basis
- Demonstrated success in leading finance transformation and integrating acquisitions
- Consolidation experience across multi-entity, multi-currency groups
- Proven ability to deliver process improvements and accelerate reporting timescales
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Hands-on experience with Sage 200. Experience of CMAP time reporting system would be beneficial
- Availability to be on-site 3 days per week in Cheshire
- Available within 3 weeks
