MDM are exclusively supporting a high-quality, complex UK group in the appointment of a Group FP&A Manager.
This role represents an excellent opportunity for a Big 4 or mid-tier trained ACA, either making a first move from practice or stepping into a second role in industry, to take on a broad, high-exposure FP&A position within a growing high calibre finance function.
The Role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the Group FP&A Manager will play a key role in group-level planning, forecasting and performance insight, working closely with commercial finance teams and senior stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of group forecasting, planning and variance analysis
- Production of high-quality management and board-level reporting
- Financial modelling, trend analysis and insight to support decision-making
- Cash flow forecasting and scenario analysis
- Development and communication of KPIs across the Group
- Use of data and visualisation tools to improve insight and clarity, including Power BI
- Acting as a key business partner to senior stakeholders, translating complex financial data into clear, commercial messages
The Person
This role will suit someone technically strong, analytically minded and confident communicating with non-finance stakeholders.
- ACA qualified, trained within Big 4 or a leading mid-tier practice
- Either straight from practice or 1–2 roles post-qualification in industry
- Highly analytical, with strong financial modelling and forecasting capability
- An excellent communicator, able to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Comfortable working with data, dashboards and reporting tools – Power BI experience strongly preferred
- Curious, proactive and keen to build a long-term career in FP&A
