Our client is an acquisitive, PE backed Business Services Group and is seeking to recruit a senior finance professional to join the team.  Reporting to the CFO, the role will be responsible for leading the strategic financial management of the organisation, evaluating performance, managing risk and delivering robust reporting and controls. 

Managing a team of around 20, the role is responsible for all aspects of control, financial reporting, cash flow reporting, regulatory reporting, and Payroll.  Responsibilities are wide ranging and will include:

• Controls & Processes -  foster an environment of rigorous financial controls across all financial operations, ensuring risks are adequately mitigated and appropriate controls and processes are constantly challenged / improved upon.  Oversee the integration of financial controls and processes for acquisitions;
• Financial Reporting – month-end and year-end reporting for the Group;
• Cash Flow Reporting – including covenant compliance, ensuring there is appropriate governance to mitigate risk / working capital and cash management process improvements;
• Regulatory Reporting / Audit Process – own the annual audit, and other regulatory reporting processes;
• Ad Hoc Projects

The Candidate

You will be an experienced qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or ACMA), with excellent attention to detail, team management and problem solving skills.  You will be an open and direct communicator with the ability to challenge the status quo and gravitas to help to drive the finance function forward.  Experience of working for a private equity backed business would be useful but not essential.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading PE backed NW business.
