Our client is a large, well known North West based real estate Group with interests in commercial development, regeneration as well as energy.

The rapid change in the financing landscape is giving rise to a wide range of attractive M&A opportunities for a large well-funded Real Estate Group with a robust balance sheet.  This has resulted in a requirement for a Corporate Development Manager to join the Corporate Development team.

This exciting and highly varied role will include the following responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate and execute M&A transactions and other investment opportunities.
• Lead on projects including managing the timeline, co-ordinating workstreams (legal, financial, property etc) and overseeing transaction due diligence and liaising with third parties as appropriate (banks, external legal teams etc).
• Manage relationships with external parties including lenders, investors, and financial advisors.
• Negotiation of transaction documentation (loan documents in respect of refinance projects and SPA in relation to other M&A).
• Analyse information and create a concise summary regarding the financial direction of a business including valuation and returns.
• Create and maintain financial models and budgets to determine capital allocation and support corporate development initiatives.
• Provide valuation recommendations based on financial returns analysis (e.g. DCF, IRR, ROIC).

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) with post qualified M&A or financial advisory experience in the Real Estate and/or Infrastructure sector.  You will have excellent project management skills and the ability to multi-task and deliver results.  Strong excel skills including the preparation and interrogation of financial models is a key requirement, together with excellent relationship building skills with key stakeholders.  This is a rare opportunity to join a high quality North West Corporate Development team.
