We're recruiting for a broad and well remunerated Commercial Financial Controller role for one of the UK’s leading Real Estate and Infrastructure businesses, based in Manchester. The role is a balanced blend of Controlling / Reporting with Commercial Business Partnering and offers an ideal platform from which to build relevant credentials for a future Finance Director role.

The Business

• The land division of one of the UK’s leading property and infrastructure Groups with gross assets c£2.5bn. The business is known for its large scale, visionary strategic projects - such as the creation and development of The Trafford Centre and Media City.
• The business has a large number of transformational developments in its pipeline in the North of England and the role plays a key role in helping to make these a reality.
• This role supports a broad range of commercial activities within a multi-site business.

The Role

The role supports the Finance Director and Managing Director of the business and as such is a key role in the leadership of the business. Reporting to the Finance Director:

• Oversee financial management and reporting for the business.
• Drive business partnering with senior leadership on strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and working capital management.
• Lead a finance team of 4.
• Provide financial appraisals for acquisitions and development projects.
• Support Finance Director on future refinancing transaction.

• Qualified accountant with strong technical and commercial acumen.
• Capable of operating at both strategic and operational levels.
• Exceptional communication and business partnering skills.
