Senior FP&A Lead
MDM Resourcing are working with a UK-listed group to appoint an FP&A professional to join its Group finance team.
This is a newly created role supporting the business's accelerating growth trajectory and increasing level of M&A activity. The position sits within a high-performing finance function and will offer meaningful exposure to senior leadership as the business continues to scale.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the successful candidate will play a key role across financial planning, commercial finance and corporate finance activities. The position combines core FP&A responsibilities with involvement in strategic initiatives, including acquisition-related workstreams.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the group budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Producing management reporting packs with clear commentary on financial performance and key drivers
- Delivering commercial analysis to support decision-making across the business
- Acting as a finance partner to operational teams and senior stakeholders
- Improving the quality, integrity and usability of financial data and reporting tools
- Supporting M&A activity, including financial modelling, due diligence and post-deal analysis
- Contributing to wider strategic and cross-functional finance projects
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA)
- Experience in FP&A, commercial finance or management accounting
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Solid experience of budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex datasets
- Clear communicator able to present insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Interest in strategic finance and corporate development
- Previous exposure to M&A processes would be advantageous but is not essential.
