The Business

The Role

• Reporting to the CFO
• Opportunity to create a Group Finance function from scratch – including recruiting a small team
• Responsible for implementing a group consolidation system
• Develop Group Financial Reporting, harmonise accounting policies, controls and processes across the Group worldwide operating businesses
• Develop Group FP&A, consolidated budgeting and forecasting data and, in due course, develop commercial insight and Group level management information
• Develop effective working relationships with Regional Finance teams across the worldwide business
• Manage the annual audit process
• Work with tax advisors in managing the Group’s tax compliance

About You

• You’re a qualified accountant (most likely ACA, but ACCA and ACMA with relevant experience will also be considered)
• Experienced in working in a Group Finance function, ideally in a multi-country Group (but not essential)
• Strong technical skills in consolidated financial reporting and with experience of using a consolidation package (eg Cognos, Tagetik, Hyperion or other similar)
• “knows what good looks like” in terms of Group reporting disciplines and controls
• Some experience of FP&A useful but not essential (you’ll recruit a Group FP&A Manager)

Flexibility

• Role is based in Manchester City Centre
• After an initial period of being mainly on site while getting up to speed in the business and building key relationships, working pattern is hybrid (3 days on site)
