MDM Resourcing’s exclusive client is a large dynamic growth business which is expanding both organically and through frequent acquisitions. An M&A Manager  is required to work closely with the Head of Corporate Development for the Group to support the targeting, due diligence and post-acquisition integration of their acquisitions pipeline.  

Key responsibilities include research and identification of suitable targets, pre and post due diligence, commercial and operations planning and operational integration of new acquisitions.

  • Support coordination of due diligence activity for potential transactions - including directing external advisors re due diligence, legal review as well as internal du diligence;
  • Support the development of detailed financial models and valuation scenarios for potential transactions with a view to building an investment case, which also includes strategic fit / synergy analysis;
  • Develop clear and concise presentations to outline the investment opportunity - including strategic fit, financial retur and risk profile;
  • Support the planning, execution, separation, integration and functional restructuring activities relating to transactions;
  • Build close relationships with targets, ensuring the emotionalaspects of the deal are managed as the deal crosses the line;
  • Help develop the acquisition target pipeline of companies;
  • Conduct economic and market research to identify businesses that are potential investment opportunities, across strategic fit and business unit strategies;
  • Provide support throughout the M&A cycle including valuation, constructing deal structures, due diligence, negotiations, etc.;
  • Identify risk factors and contingency plans, communicate project status and critical risk factors applicable parties;
  • Support with the preparation of regular reporting and updates on M&A activity to the Executive Leadership Team;

The Candidate

  • A qualified (ACA/ ACCA / ACMA), with at least 3 years' post qualification experience in a fast paced, preferably Transaction Services, Corporate Finance and/or in-house M&A role in industry;
  • A commercially astute, analytical, detailed-oriented, results-driven individual who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Able to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
