Our fully listed client is seeking a recently qualified (0 to 3 years) ACA or ACCA for a newly created role which will work closely with the Group Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller. The purpose of the role covers 3 key areas:-
- assisting with the production of robust and accurate financial reporting at both month and year ends;
- assisting with the critique and improvement of existing business processes and developing a strategy for new process implementation;
- delivery of improved treasury and recharging processes within head office finance.
In the course of this role you will develop your skills in Financial Reporting and application of technical IFRS skills, Budgeting and Forecasting (cashflow modelling), management of (2) staff, improvement of business processes and controls, how to review and challenge the cost base (head office cost centre), managing the external audit (from the client side!), working with and presenting to senior management, possibly accounting for acquisitions and disposals.
The role offers the opportunity to rapidly develop your skill set as a base for future progression in industry. Progression from this role is potentially available either within the Group Finance function or into one of the operating businesses.
