Our client is a PE backed group based in Manchester with robust plans for organic and acquisitive growth.

The Group is now looking to recruit an ambitious Group Commercial Analyst to deliver high quality strategic analysis and support, playing a critical part in the Group’s future success and growth.

Reporting to the Group Strategy Director (GSD) and working with other members of the Executive team (CEO, CFO, CTO, CDO), the initial focus will be reviewing the pricing strategy across the Group, setting up, monitoring and implementing pricing changes at a system level that flow through to client billing. This will lead to a review of competitor pricing trends and making recommendations on future pricing strategy.

Following the initial focus on pricing, the role will evolve to focus on a range of strategic projects involving key stakeholders across the Group. This could involve, but not limited to, supporting on appraising future M&A targets, supporting on our partnership program strategy and ultimately helping lead on an exit for the Group and its Private Equity backed owners. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on / set up the audit process to ensure all price changes made are implemented through technical integration, monitored and maximised
  • Set up, run and maintain the Pricing Governance process
  • Set up a reporting suite to track in detail the impact of price increases / decreases, how changes land in the market to help provide insight on when to move
  • Monitor the open market and provide ongoing competitor analysis and provide sound commercial rationale for any price changes across all services and clients
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Opportunity to broaden out role to support GSD, and other Exec Team members, across other strategic projects as outlined in the last paragraph of the job description

Person Specification:

This is an ideal role for either an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant from Transaction Services, Corporate Finance or Corporate Restructuring background looking to move into industry; or an experienced CIMA qualified Commercial Analyst in industry.

  • Qualified Accountant desirable (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the Group;
  • Advanced IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Power BI capability an advantage but not essential;
  • Process driven with a meticulous attention to detail;
  • Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
