AI / tech enabled, rapidly growing £20m turnover Private Equity backed international Travel business requires a Financial Controller (number 2 in finance) to work closely with the Finance Director as the business scales up.

The business is backed by a Private Equity team of Travel industry experts with a very successful track record of developing travel businesses internationally using the latest technology (including a number of household name businesses).

The business plans to double turnover from the current £20m to £40m over the next couple of years and is relocating its finance function from London to Manchester.

The Role

Reporting to and working closely with the Finance Director this will be a broad role playing a vital role in the financial management of the business. Leading a team of 2 assistants, the role will be involved in

•  all aspects of accounting and reporting (management and statutory)
• carrying out monthly balance sheet controls
• budgeting and forecasting
• P&L and cashflow analysis
• developing and improving processes and controls
• supporting the Finance Director in the planned migration to a new accounting system

The Candidate

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA)
• Will suit either a "second mover" who qualified in practice or a CIMA candidate with hands on experience in a smaller business
• High attention to detail and analytical skills
• Positive, reliable and a team player
• Good time management and ability to prioritise workload
• Competent in Excel
